The distillery uses carefully chosen casks from each of its main types to create this exceptional Laphroaig, with one noteworthy exception. A final aging in fresh American Oak casks—a rare method of maturing Scotch whisky—provides the core of this single malt.

The whisky exhibits a delicate blend of peat, wood, and sweetness, with the spirit chosen by the master distiller from Quarter Cask, PX Cask, and Triple Wood (European wood casks) and a final addition of 10 Year Old.

Rich and complex, with a distinct ‘peat reek’ characteristic, this expression of Laphroaig is enhanced by a blend of different wood ages.
