“J” is a De-code for a collection of uncommon Irish oak barrels that were expertly built by hand in 1989. The woody aroma of J89 comes from the malt, which has ripened and mellowed in these same barrels that have aged for two decades.

The triple distillation process guarantees that every drop is extraordinarily smooth, while the peaty taste mimics the subtle flavors of lapsang souchong.

This natural waters, taken from pockets located 155 meters below the surface of Nepal’s midhills, are blended with a vintage malted whisky of the single malt class.

The meticulous attention to detail, the ideal geographic location of Nepal, and the expert workmanship that goes into each bottle are what give J89 its exceptional quality.
