The 18 Years Old is a stunning, luminous whisky with rich marmalade, honey, and fig flavors that balance sweet and floral lushness, akin to the golden edge of an autumn afternoon.
After fifteen years of maturation in American white-oak, former Bourbon casks, about thirty percent of the whisky is aged for three years in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. After both components become eighteen, they are combined.
The American oak counteracts the raisin-like richness of the sherry, and the Oloroso casks add an amazing level of liveliness.
